Photographer Vlad Loktev
Vlad Loktev is a portrait photographer, an ironic and free artist, the author of numerous photo projects and portraits of the most famous people: politicians, actors, athletes, businessmen. Loktev was born in 1961. He got an interest in photography back in his school years, but began to engage in photography after serving in the army, in «Slava Zaitsev» Moscow Fashion House where he worked as a model. The first exhibition of his works took place in Tallinn, Estonia, as part of a fashion festival in the late 80s.
In the early 90s, together with the RED STARS agency, he began to develop a model business in Russia, which resulted in the first solo exhibition entitled “COLLECTION” that was held in Moscow at the Art Pictures Gallery in 1991. Two years later, in 1993, he organized the next show “COLLECTION №2” in the Union of Press Photographers, which arouse a true public interest in his photograph.
The pioneer of Russian fashion photography Loktev is still actively working with Vogue, Glamour, Tatler, GQ, Maxim, Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, The Hollywood Reporter and other iconic magazines, creates large urban advertising campaigns and special projects for the World Class and the Naked Heart Foundation established by Natalia Vodianova. His exhibitions were held in the largest museums of the city: the Multimedia Art Museum, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and The Shchusev State Museum of Architecture.
